Hello,
I am currently trying to set up Event Espresso where a person clicks on a particular course (event) and is presented with a table of locations. I have been able to get that to work with no problem. But when the person clicks on Register, it goes to the single post for that exact event. Is there a way to send them to the Register page? They don’t need to see the event information twice. Here is a link to what I am talking about: http://www.greatseminarsandbooks.com/total-joint-arthroplasty/

I have not done the CSS on the table yet, so pardon the sloppy table 🙂

Hi there Christian,

Currently, the registrant would need to click-through and arrive on the single event page to begin a registration. They won’t be able to start one by clicking on that button.

You might try adjusting the text of the link:

[ESPRESSO_EVENTS_TABLE_TEMPLATE reg_button_text=”View Details”]

Another option is to replace that shortcode with one for the ticket selector for this event. If you browse to Event Espresso –> Events and then click on the event, then under the title / URL area, you’ll see a button that says shortcode. Copy and paste that onto your WordPress page and they’ll be able to start registration right away.

Hi Lorenzo,
Thanks for the ideas. I actually tried your suggestion by adding the shortcode for the ticket selector but the issue is that if I have one course and two or three locations, I’m trying to avoid having multiple register tables. I even thought if I could take the “register” button and move it from the bottom of the ticket selector to the right of the event, than it would look more like a table. Does that make sense?

Hi Christian,

I have another idea but it will restrict registration to one registrant at a time per registrant. Will you need to register multiple attendees at once for this event?

Hi Lorenzo,
We actually aren’t allowing people to register more than themselves. So, your idea could work. Let me know. Thank you again!

Hi Christian,

One registrant at a time sounds good. We are working on an enhancement to the ticket selector that will change the display of the ticket selector. Here is how it will work:

If there is a single ticket option available along with a maximum of 1 ticket per registration for this event, then the ticket selector will simply show the Register Now button without the extra information like Quantity and pricing columns.

If there are multiple ticket options available (e.g. standard ticket, VIP ticket) or a registrant can register for multiple quantities of a specific ticket at once (e.g. 3 of standard ticket), then the ticket selector will appear as normal.

While, I do not have a launch date for this enhancement, I can let you know that this is likely to be available later this month.
