Change/Modify ticket after purchase

Hi – if a person purchased a ticket for a particular event/session, but then want to then modify it to a different event, can we do this in the back end w/o refunding the payment received and re-charging for the new event?

Hi,

Are you using Event Espresso 4 or Event Espresso 3 and are the the ticket prices the same?

EE4. The ticket prices should be the same but it’s possible that it could be different but higher. But payment changes can be applied in the back end, correct?

Hi,

In this case, you could create a new registration by following these steps:

Login to your WordPress dashboard. Go to Event Espresso –> Events. Now locate the name of your Event and hover over it. Then click on Registrations.

On the new screen, click on Add New Registration which appears at the top of the page. Then enter the attendee/registrant information and process the registration.

Then you can request payment for the balance through PayPal or your merchant account. For example, if the difference between the new ticket and old was $25, then you would request that amount. Once payment has been received you can mark it as paid through the transactions screen.

The final step would be to cancel the old registration.
