For our events we build landing pages which are separate from the actual event registration pages. For example, here are the two pages I’m using for an upcoming event we’re running:
We’ve got the Social Sharing plugin installed. I’m wondering if it’s possible to enter a setting to manually specify what page will be shared when a user shares the event after they’ve registered to send them to the landing page instead of the event registration page directly?
I checked into this and it turns out that the Social Sharing Add-on does not have this feature. Someone familiar with WordPress plugin development could build an extension for the plugin to check first for a custom field value (or post meta) and use that URL instead of the event’s permalink.
