I need to change the URL for the “Return to Events List” from https://www.aestrainstitute.com/training to a hard-coded page at https://www.aestrainstitute.com/courses.
We want to list all of our courses whether they are offered or not for the purposes of searching and to allow courses (events) that don’t have a date yet to be visible.

Please be somewhat detailed in responding. I found this post (https://eventespresso.com/topic/the-return-to-event-list-button-doesnt-work/) that seems to address the issue but I’m not clear on what to do to affect the change.
My assumption is that I need to create a functions.php file in my child theme and add the code used in the link above. Is that correct? I worry because I don’t want to break this site so this is producing some anxiety.

Hi Doug,
While it may be possible to create a functions.php in the child theme, this is the recommended approach:
https://eventespresso.com/wiki/create-site-specific-plugin-wordpress-site/
So you’ll add the filter function code to your site specific plugin, then activate the plugin.
