Hello I need to change the order of events showed on category pages. Right now events are sorted by eventID, but I need to sort them by date ASC. How can I do that? Thank you! |

Hi Bob, Thank you for contacting us today. By default, the events should already be shorted in ASC order as per the event dates in the Event category page. Please share me some more details with screenshot if you are referring to anything else. Looking forward to helping you. Thank you. |

The listings are from multiple categories. Is it listing each category separately by date order? https://secondsixties.ca/event-category/hiking-outings/ |

NOt sure how I clicked the submit button – not intentional. I think these are all coming from the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS category_slug=hiking-outings] category. |

No, we don’t use shortcode on that page, you’ re right it is automatically generated page. How can we change the order of events on category pages or sort them by event start date but not event publish/creation date. |

Hi there! Thanks for contacting our support today! The Events displayed on the Event Category Page are not ordered by ID, ASC, or DESC. The events are ordered by the closer Start Event Date, so it will display the closest events first. You can change this order by changing the Event Start Date. Let me know if it works! |

Can we provide you with the login information so that you can look at the page. The events are not listing by Event Start Date. That is the problem. |

Hi there! I have noticed your theme is Avada and we already know a few conflicts between Avada and Event Espresso. Could you please provide your WordPress access through this URL? https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ – we will look into this. I am waiting for your comment on this. |

Hi there, You could try adding this snippet to the site: https://gist.github.com/joshfeck/69faa00989c3014d4fde You can add that to a custom functions plugin on your site, we have some documentation on creating one here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/create-site-specific-plugin-wordpress-site/ That hooks into the category output and makes sure the query is set up to filter by datetime, if the above does not work the login credentials Joao mentioned will help narrow this down a little. |
