Change email address and resend

Someone recently registered for one of our events using an invalid email address. I went into view/edit contact and changed her email address to a valid one. However, when I try to generate a new message to her, it keeps sending to the old (invalid) address. How do I get it to send to the correct address?

How are you generating the new messages?

Resending the registration messages or through the message activity table?
