Hi there,
I have a client who wants about 10 wording changes throughout their event booking pages – along the lines of change ‘Price’ to ‘Fee, change ‘Register’ to ‘Open’, change ‘Sold Out’ to ‘Closed’ etc. Do you think this would be possible via a language file? And if so, can you advise where to access the files/instructions I need to do that?
Yes, you should be able to change pretty much any text within EE using PO/MO files. Some strings aren’t as obvious, for example ‘Sold Out’ has 2 different strings:
Thank you for the suggestion. I could use the translation English → English. If I create a MO file, how do I make Event Espresso use that file since I am not strictly speaking switching to another language?
Thank you.
For some reason in the Settings page the language was showing as event_espresso-en_US but I changed it to English (United States) and that made it work.
Are you sure you put the file in the correct location?
/wp-content/uploads/espresso/languages/
It should NOT be in:
/wp-content/languages/
