I need to change the question group for my registration form but it’s grayed out and won’t let me (I have done this before). It’s asking be to upgrade to EE4 even though I am currently running it (verified when I tried to buy it again). System info: Is there something wrong with license, installation, or settings that is preventing me from change the questions? |
Hi there, Event Espresso Version: 4.9.57.decaf Your site currently has the decaf version installed, you need the regular version. De-activate the above version of Event Espresso. Go to your account page and download the latest version of Event Espresso 4 regular. Upload the zip file through Dashboard -> Plugins -> Add new -> upload plugin. Now select the zip file you just downloaded. Once installed active the regular version of Event Espresso and you should have the full functionality once again. |

Went through the steps and received the following messages when trying to install the regular EE4. Unpacking the package… FYI – It’s a GoDaddy hosted site |
Hi rbeckman, If you go to the WP Plugins page are there two plugins listed as Event Espresso 4? If so, you can deactivate the Decaf version and then activate the other version. |

I deactivated the decaf version first before installing the regular version. I believe I had the regular version installed at one time because I remember changing the questions but then recently it stopped. No idea why the Decaf version became active. I also search all the plugins to see if there any of espresso plugins and there are not. |
It sounds like some files were deleted from your server. Can you use FTP or your host’s Control panel to check the wp-content/plugins folder for a /event-espresso-core-reg folder? That folder should get removed along with the decaf folder. Then, after those are removed, you can download a fresh copy of Event Espresso 4 from your account page, and re-install by following these steps: 1) You go to the Plugins screen in your WordPress dashboard and click on Add New. |

I was able to delete the folder and get the regular EE installed. Thanks for the help |
