Change a registrant's ticket price

Hi, I have some folks registered for my training for whom I’d like to change their ticket price. It’s not a price that others will have a choice to pay, so I don’t want to set up a new ticket option due to the confusion it would cause. Is there a way to change a registrants price for their ticket?

Hello,

The pricing that they selected during their registration is linked to the pricing that is available for the event.

Are you trying to offer a price that is less than what is shown on the registration page (e.g. a discounted price)?

If so, then you can apply a partial refund through the individual transaction page in Event Espresso and keep a registration status of approved. Then refund the difference through your merchant account.

If you need to charge a higher price, then that could be done across a few steps:

1) Refund their registration through Event Espresso and use a status of cancelled. Then refund the transaction in your merchant account.

2) Create a new pricing option through the event editor and save changes

3) Manually register them for the event and select the option to send out notifications so they’ll receive an email with a link to pay the balance due

After they pay, then they’ll be updated to a status of registration approved.

4) You can then expire the new pricing option that was created by setting the expiration date to now and saving changes to the event.
