Hey Guys!

I read in a previous post on how to change a name in a Group by locating the Line Item ID under the Attendee’s registration. I can’t seem to locate this number. Can you give me step by step instructions on where to locate this number so I can edit a ticket? If I edit it through Contact Details, it will edit the history of this buyer to the new person.

You can change the names for the other attendees by going into the registration list view. Then you go into view one of the registrations. You actually do not edit the name here, but you’ll copy the Line Item ID onto your clipboard. The Line Item ID will look like this:
51b4490530e46011ceeab1ca1f598064
Then go to the home page of your website. While on the home page of your website and add the following to the end of the URL:
/thank-you/?e_reg_url_link=1-(line item ID goes here)
Then hit return.
So to be clear, you’ll be going to a page like this:
http://yoursite.com//thank-you/?e_reg_url_link=1-51b4490530e46011ceeab1ca1f598064
Then from that page you’ll be able to edit the names of all the attendees.

Thank you!

Hello,

If the contact that you are wanting to change is for the primary registrant/attendee, then it would change the name for all past registrations.

However, if this is for an additional registrant/attendee, then you can click the create contact button and enter the details.

Hi there,

I’m afraid the reason why you’re not able to locate the Line Item ID is because it’s no longer there. The thread you linked to is from February 2015 and a few things have changed in Event Espresso 4 since then.

You can set up a link to edit the attendee information from the receipt. For example, you place this in the [ATTENDEE_LIST] section of the Receipt message template:

Click to Edit/Change attendee information

Then you can go to Event Espresso > Transactions, find the transaction where you want to edit attendee info, then click on the icon to view the Transaction Receipt, then click through your link to edit the attendee information.

You can also place this in the [ATTENDEE_LIST] section of the Registration Approved message template for the Event Admin context:

This way you can click the link right from the messages that get sent to the event admin.

Dangit! Ticket holder is the Primary. I guess this would be a good time to request again that we have an official “Buyer” section (name and email) and then individual ticket fields…? 😉

Thanks Josh for the code! I’ll add it to my Admin email confirmation which will take care of future request ones.

For now, I’ll just Cancel the old and create a new…

Thanks guys!

Hello,

There is a video walkthrough on how to manually add a new registrant here:
