Sorry if this is obvious but I’ve searched and can’t find it anywhere.
Is there a way to make a page that lists each category, followed by a title list of each event in it, with a link to the event.
For example:
Category 1

    -event 1
    -event 2
    -event 3

Category 2

    -event 3
    -event 4

etc.

Thanks!

OH, should have said: EE 4, current WP.

Hi Brandon, you can set that up by using the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode along with the events_category parameter and if needed the limit parameter.

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-shortcodes-template-variables/#event-category-list

Here is an example:

[ESPRESSO_EVENTS category_slug=”super-events” limit=”3″]

[ESPRESSO_EVENTS category_slug=”weekend-events” limit=”3″]

Yes, I saw that. I have almost 30 categories and they will come and go.

Is there a way to automatically loop through the categories so I (or the content manager) doesn’t have to manually add and delete categories every time?

And it would be really nice if, when there’s no event in the category, the category name can disappear.

Thanks!

Hi, there isn’t a shortcode that will do that for you automatically.

OK, understood.
So we can consider this closed.
Or better yet: re-tagged with FEATURE REQUEST.
Thanks!
