Category Colors not displaying in EE3 Developer license

I have a developer license for EE3. The categories are no longer displaying in different colors, and the color options are not shown in the dashboard. We don’t use this plugin too frequently. Was this a change in the version that took away that capability?
Also, I see now that it says that you need the “PRO” version to be able to do this. I thought the developer version was the pro version, but for multiple sites.
All the posts I read for this topic were about EE4, and appear as unresolved, so changing to 4 clearly is not a fix. What do I need to do to fix this for my client?

Hi,

Can you tell me the full version number of Event Espresso you are running please?

You can find this in Dashboard -> Plugins or usually at the bottom of the Admin pages.
