cart abandonment issues

Is there a way to automate an email to go out to customers how have abandoned their cart without finishing the registration process? Can this be done with Infusionsoft?

Hi Lara, In EE3, if they’ve filled out the registration form and included an email address, the email notification can be set to automatically go out.

You go to Event Espresso > General Settings > Email Settings and set Send registration confirmation emails before payment is received? to yes. With this setting set to yes, all registration form submissions will get a notification.

Hey there Josh,
If I make that change will an email notification go out to all registrations or just the ones that have not been completed/paid for yet?

The email notification will go out to all registrations that have not paid yet. Which, as you can imagine, happens at the moment when the registration is made before payment is made.

Josh,
ok so that doesn’t seem like the answer.. How about applying a tag? I know EE can do that for successful orders how about unsuccessful ones? If EE can apply a tag the tag can trigger a campaign in Infusionsoft.

Hi Lara,

That may be possible with custom development work, which one of the third parties listed here may be able to be contracted with to get done. One of the components to making this happen would be to have a check to see if after the attendee data is saved, whether or not their registration completed, and if not, then tag the registration as unpaid. Then, if/when they do pay later, then remove the tag.
