This recent update reset a number of settings, like days of the week, weekend visibility and colour choices which are time consuming to amend. It has also spawned some problems that I hope you can help with.
– events in back office not showing on calander
– colours for categories won’t update, currently all one colour)
Please keep in mind this isn’t the first time I’ve had to spend time fixing things after an update. I don’t have this issue with other plugins that I’ve paid less for. Please be careful with your updates.
Please note that the new calendar went through months of development, internal testing, and public beta testing. This was a major update with many new features and with that the older calendar’s settings could not be used with the new version.
After updating to the new calendar we are recommending that the Calendar settings are reviewed and you can change the settings where new features have been added where needed.
The new calendar has new category features (this includes changes to the category color features) so please take the time to review the settings and set them as desired. One option that you might like to make use of is the Category filter. You can also still use the category color feature by setting “Enable CSS for Categories” to yes. In order to use any of the calendar category features, “Disable Categories” needs to be set to No.
Also, the calendar now defaults to not showing the older events. You can change the calendar so it displays the older events by changing the calendar page shortcode to read:
[ESPRESSO_CALENDAR show_expired=true]
