Captcha Fatal error on registration page

I’ve got a Fatal error at the bottom of my registration form that says

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class ReCaptchaResponse in /home/content/31/12276631/html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/includes/recaptchalib.php on line 137

I updated to the latest version to try to remove any compatibility issues. Not sure what’s going on

Usually what’s going on is there’s another plugin or a theme function that added the reCaptcha library first. So your solution may be to either reactive the reCaptcha module in EE, or find the other plugin and deactivate it.
