Hi all,

I have several problems when trying to customise ticket and email templates:

1. I tried to edit the default email templates for Registration Pending Payment & Payment Received (at Messages > Default messages template tab). After editing the template, I saved the updated template. But when I tested those emails, the template doesn’t change. The emails still use the old default template even though I have updated the default template.

2. I created a custom ticket template (at Messages > Custom messages template tab). Then I change the “Template in Use” from Global to my custom template (at events > notifications tab). But every time I updated the event, the “Template in Use” go back to Global. Just like you can see in this screenshot : https://www.dropbox.com/s/v54pdzpxd73qcfv/global.png?dl=0

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Joanne

Hi Joanne,

Usually if the changes aren’t been seen when testing, then you may have edited a different recipient. For example, if you are wanting to edit the messages for the event admin, then you would click on that link to edit the message type for that recipient.

Could you double-check?

When you set Event Espresso to use a custom ticket notice, are you saving changes to the event afterwards via the event editor?

Hi Lorenzo,
Problem number 1 solved! thanks!
For problem number 2, yes, I have saved it via the event editor, but it’s still showing Global template not my custom template.
Just to make sure, is it the right button to save the changes at event editor? : https://www.dropbox.com/s/2fl8jus11orkzwq/event.png?dl=0

Thanks for your help,

Joanne

Hi, could you scroll down and grab a screenshot of the notifications area?

Thanks, I ran some similar testing and it does hold the change:

Is your software up to date?

Hi Lorenzo, my current EE4 version is Event Espresso – 4.6.18.p. Is it the latest update?

Hi Joanne, that is the latest version. Are you also have trouble setting a custom template on any of the other message types?

If so, it could be a conflict with another plugin. Try temporarily deactivating all plugins and reactivating Event Espresso along with the ticketing add-ons and then setting the custom template again via the event editor.

Thanks

Hi Lorenzo, yes I also have trouble to set up custom template on any of the other message types.
I’ve tried to deactivate and activate all plugins but it still won’t hold the change.

Hi Lorenzo, if you don’t mind you could login and check our plugin just in case we miss something important.
