I recently purchased and installed the ee4 build. I setup a fake event so i can test everything. I installed all the necessary plugins / Ticketing & Scanning. When i print out the ticket it has a barcode and a qr code. When i try to scan the barcode with a standard USB barcode scanner nothing happens.
Am i missing a step? The barcode looks a little different then the ones on the documentation.

Hi Brad,
The default barcode shortcode is currently:
[BARCODE_* w=1 h=70 fsize=18 bgcolor=#000000 color=#ffffff]
Can you change this to:
[BARCODE_* w=1 h=70 fsize=18 bgcolor=#ffffff color=#000000]
You can do this within Event Espresso -> Messages. Find the ticket message type and click to edit.
Then re-download your ticket and retest. Can you then scan the barcode?

You need to log into your WordPress site on the machine you are using the barcode on.
Then go to Event Espresso Barcode Scanner.
Select the event, and click in the input field – http://take.ms/5WHwf
Then when you scan the barcodes the scanner will pass the barcode to the input field.
Which scanner are you using?

I have two that i am trying. idautomation model#SC5usb-d
and the Datalogic Gryphon.
Maybe i have the wrong scanners?

I still cant get it to work? any thoughts? I tried all the steps you mentioned above. I get no response from the scanner when trying.

Can you try THESE barcodes and see if either work please?
