Keep getting this error message when I log on and can’t find a way around it:’The maximum number of inputs on this page has been exceeded. You cannot add anymore items (i.e. tickets, datetimes, custom fields) on this page because of your servers PHP “max_input_vars” setting.
There are 1444 inputs and the maximum amount currently allowed by your server is 1000.”
max_input_vars is a setting on your server that basically means it will ignore all but the first 1000 inputs on a page.
The notice you are getting from Event Espresso is telling you that the number of inputs on the page is greater than the number inputs your server is set to allow, so you’ll need to increase the value set for max_input_vars.
There are a few different ways to do that so I recommend contacting your host and have them do it for you and I would suggest using a value of 3000 or more t give you some wiggle room (you’re already at just over 1400 on that page).
Once they have updated that value you can go to Event Espresso -> General Settings.
Make a small change on that page (for example add a latter to the company name) and save, then remove that change and save again. That will force EE to rebuild its config and read the max_input_vars data from your server again, your event editor should now work as expected.
Thanks – Have sent this on to my host to see if they can fix this for me. Appreciated.
