Hi,

I’m resetting my website after a bot attack, since my WP template was discontinued I’ve taken another one on and trying to get EE3 to install.

When I try to activate the plugin, I get the follwoing message

Any thoughts appreciated! πŸ™‚

Hi there,

Did you download the latest version of Event Espresso from your account page?

Do you have FTP access to the server?

Hi Tony, grabbed a fresh version this morning. I do have FTP access, files are in place but plugin won’t activate.

Download this file – http://take.ms/cLgLh

Within /wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/includes/ you’ll find a shortcodes.php file.

Replace the current file with the one from the download above and active EE, does it then work?

You’re most welcome πŸ™‚

We generally advise against modifying core files like the above, however the fix applied to that file will be included within the next version of EE3 so in that case it should be fine.

Please let us know if you have any further problems.
