Can't get author name and post date to disappear for EE events

I entered into style.css
.single-espresso_events .post-meta{display:none;}

The author name won’t go away.

Here’s an example of an event:

Hi Connor,

The style.css file you added to probably isn’t loading. What you can do instead is add the custom CSS to your site’s Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS page.
