I think something’s wrong with the install of EE4 premium. I tried out the free version and then bought the premium. When it was missing stuff, I deleted the plugin and reinstalled…. but still I’m missing things. Image links are missing from templates. I can’t find a ticket template….. Aargh…. I really don’t want to reinstall for a third time… the site is open and ready to go except for form translations and some buggy headers that refuse to translate!! If I need to reinstall, please give me step by step… I don’t want to delete anything I’ve done up to this point… as I said the site is live. http://www.alcanzatuplenitud.com. And also step by step to getting a clean install.

Hi Doris,

Performing a clean install in terms of starting over should not be necessary but you can try resetting one of the message types and that will restore that one to defaults.

Try going to your WP dashboard. Then go to Event Espresso –> Messages. Then toggle the screen options in the top right corner to 20 and save changes.

Then click on the message type that you are wanting to edit. For example, if you were wanting to edit the Invoice, then you would click on that one.

Look towards the right area of the screen and you’ll see an option that looks like this:

Click on the button to reset and then confirm and that message type should be reset.

Let us know if the images appear or if they are still out.

Note: the steps above should be applied to the message type that you are having trouble with.

Please create a new support post for any translation issues and we’ll check into them for you.

Hi Lorenzo,

Unfortunately, your answer does not help me. There is NO TICKET TEMPLATE for me to customize in Event Espresso – Default Message Templates. I assume there should be a default ticket template. Please tell me how I can get it.

After I register for an event, I only receive an email with “Registration Details” I do not receive a Ticket.

Hi Doris, your feedback was helpful in finding the issue. You are currently using the Event Espresso 4 plugin only.

Printable tickets are available as an add-on:

Once that is installed and activated, then my earlier steps can be followed to locate the ticket notice template.

Hi Lorenzo,
I thought that plugin was for more customized printable tickets. When I tested EE demo it emailed me a basic ticket. Are you sure that at least one template is not included in the EE plugin? There are references (shortcodes) I see but not a default template.

Sorry for the confusion, but this is the description from the wordpress.org plugin directory (I have boldfaced to highlight):

So I am really concerned and puzzled that I cannot find a ticket template. I am a website developer and it doesn’t sit well with me and I’m sure it won’t sit well with my client if I tell them they have to shell out more money for something they (and I) thought we were getting in the first place.

Hi there Doris,

The demo site includes several of our add-ons as activated. One of them is the printable tickets add-ons which introduces the ticket notice message type.

You aren’t seeing that message type as available as the ticket notice message type is part of the printable tickets add-on which is separate from the core plugin.

Hi Lorenzo,

Ok. Well maybe you can pass on this feedback: It should be made clearer on the demo that there are no ticket templates available in the core and tickets requires an additional purchase of an add-on as well as change your marketing as EE is a registration system with an optional ticketing plugin available.
