Can't change country

When I go to General Settings -> Countries and change from United States to United Kingdom, I get the following error:

An error occurred! Please refresh the page and try again.

I can save the settings, and it looks like it’s saved – but within a few minutes, it’s reverted back to United States again.

Any ideas on what might be causing this?

Hi there,

Did you migrate the site over from EE3 or is this from a clean install of EE4?

The page you are loading is not used to set the country on your site, EE uses the country set in Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Your organization.

The General Settings -> Countries tab allows you to select specific countries and alter the settings for that country.

So if you check the your organization settings, have you set your address there and set the country to UK?

This is a clean install of EE4.

If I go to General Settings -> Countries, I only get the option of Canada or United States.

What I’m looking to achieve is to set the currency as GBP across the site for purchases.

I can now see I had to go to General Settings -> Countries and ‘show’ United Kingdom in drop down list.

Counter-intuitive, but seems to now be working, thanks
