I just deleted a previous version of EE (plugin files, database tables and entries in wp_options). Then I installed EE 3.1.37.3.P. When trying to add a new event, I get this error: Beim Absenden ist leider ein Fehler aufgetreten. Die Veranstaltung wurde nicht gespeichert! Bitte versuchen Sie es erneut. WordPress database error: [] Please help. |
Hi, What version did you originally delete? Can you try disabling and re-activating the plugin please? |
The version before was 3.1.37.2.P. I already tried disabling and reactivating, to no avail. Can you provide the steps to completely remove Event Espresso, including all the entries that have to be deleted from wp-options and possibly other tables? |
Hi Joel, is WordPress also up to date? When you upgraded, did you install Event Espresso through your WordPress dashboard or was it manually installed via SFTP or FTP? — |
WordPress is up to date. EE was installed via FTP. |
Hi, could you deactivate and remove the existing version and re-install via WordPress plugins in your WP dashboard? — |
I just did, still the same. |
I noticed that despite the error message, an entry to wp_events_prices is made. However, the event is not added to the database. |
Hi Joël, Is your database set to use UTF-8 character encoding? |
Yes, it is. |
Hi Joel, this issue should have been fixed by updating (https://eventespresso.com/topic/split-event-pricing-will-not-save-ee3-after-wordpress-update/). Could you complete this form so we can continue troubleshooting? https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ — |
Joël, Can you let us know the name of the event that was input, that did not save? |
It was “Testveranstaltung”, as well as some random names. |
I also put something into the description, set the registration start date in the past, registration end date to the end of 2015 and the event date to the end of 2015. Sometimes multiple event times and pricing fields are displayed when opening the add event form. |
Hi, I just replied via email. Go ahead and reply there. Thanks! — |
Hi again, I removed the errant prices and datetimes. I also turned on error logging, so the next time the event does not save, you can look in the wp-content folder at the log file and it may shed some light on what’s going on. |
