I have just purchased EE4 to upgrade our site from EE3. I’ve uninstalled and deleted EE3, Manually installed EE4 and the multiple events registration plugin. All appear to be working. I now want to activate so I copied my key from the EE site and paste it in to the ‘Support License Key’ box on the settings page. The key icon on the right remains red and I don’t see any save button or other option to commit the key.

Am I missing something simple?

NB I am accessing WP (and this website) through Chrome on a Samsung Android tablet. This shouldn’t be a problem as everything else works, but it’s the only unusual thing I can think of.

Hi Malc,

EE3 keys and EE4 keys are slightly different. Please log into your account that was used to purchase EE4, and check the key from your account page. If they are the same or it still doesn’t work, I can reset the entire key for you.

Thanks for the reply. I dont have access to the EE3 key or account, so everything I have done is with a new account which has only been used for this copy of EE4.
Please go ahead and reset the key for me.

Can you confirm that all I have to do is paste the key? I was expecting a ‘Save’ button but didn’t see one.

Hi,

I’ve recreated a new licence key for you so please check your account. Also do not use the one ending in FREE.

The licence key should work via AJAX (JavaScript) but if it’s not working or you have JavaScript disabled, press the Save button that’s on the right hand side of the page (screenshot http://take.ms/A87Xb).

Thanks Dean. It looks like there was a conflict with another plugin. I uninstalled ee4, disabled all plugins, reinstalled and was able to activate. I then re-enabled all the other and all is working OK now

That is strange. I would assume that if there was a conflict with another plugin, the issue will still be present. Something may have gone wrong with the installation the first time.

Since this issue is resolved, I am going to close it. If you have anymore questions or issues, please start a new topic and we will be happy to help there. 🙂
