This is a problem that I keep running into. We used Event Espresso in the past on a website and took it off when we started using it on the current website that it’s located on. The key currently says that it is active on the site that we are using it on but it the backend in WordPress it says: “You have the correct Support License Key for Event Espresso but your account only allows for automatic upgrades on one domain. Please log in to your Event Espresso account to manage your Support License Keys or purchase a support license right now.” I’ve removed any EE add ons or anything that could cause a conflict from the old website but I still get this error and cannot update the plugin.

Hi,

How are you today?

I’ve reset your license key. Please remove your license key from the General Settings page of Event Espresso and save the form blank without a license key. Then re-enter your license key again which should enable the new domain and/or one-click upgrades. Let me know if I can do anything else for you.

Thanks, I was able to update the plugin but now I’m getting two error messages and my calendar is now in need of an update as well.

Message 1:An automatic update for Event Espresso is available but your Support License Key is invalid. Either you have entered the wrong key on the Event Espresso General Settings page (EE3+ users) or Your Organization Settings page (EE4+ users) OR you no longer have access to the updates for this plugin. Please log in to your Event Espresso account to manage your Support License Keys or purchase a support license right now.

Message 2: As part of the process for updating Event Espresso, your database also needs to be updated. Event Espresso is in COMPLETE MAINTENANCE MODE (both WordPress admin pages and front-end event registration pages are disabled) until you run the database update script. Visit the Maintenance Page to get started, it only takes a moment.

Will migrating the data in to EE4.5 fix the calendar issue?

Well I’ve migrated everything but I cannot get the EE – Calendar plugin to update. I’m still receiving message one above.

Hi bblesi,

That’s odd, the reset should allow the Calendar to update also.

I have reset your license key once again, please follow the instructions within the email to re-assign your key.

If you still have problems after this we will assign you a new key.
