Ok, I started running tests on the email confirmation. I want to print the tickets from the link that is sent. I click on that link and I cannot connect to the server. When I go into the Event Expresso setup via my website and go to transactions, I am able to open the ticket and scan the QR code.

I think I’ve figured out what is wrong, here’s how the URL comes out via the Print Ticket link in the email:

http://http//www.mahightix.com?ee=ee-txn-tickets-url&token=1-ec88d0a49909a8695bdd3129ba78d857

How do I correct the double “http”? Once I correct it to:

http://www.mahightix.com?ee=ee-txn-tickets-url&token=1-ec88d0a49909a8695bdd3129ba78d857

Everything works. Thanks for the help.

Paul

I checked the Short Code in the Ticket Notice message and it uses this:

http://[TXN_TICKETS_URL]

I’m hoping this will help. Thanks.

Hi there,

Remove the http:// from the beginning of the shortcode as the shortcode should be adding that for you, you should just have [TXN_TICKETS_URL] to output the full url.

So when using just that shortcode what output do you get?

If you go to Dashboard -> Settings -> General.

What is set within the ‘Site Address (URL)’ and ‘WordPress Address (URL)’ settings there?

The “http://” is removed when I click on the Print Tickets link. I checked the General / Settings for the website URL. It is listed as http://www.mahightix.com for the WordPress and site URL. I still get the same result. Can’t find the site. Any ideas?

The link still starts with http://http//…..

This is an example of what is sent in the email:

http://http//www.mahightix.com?ee=ee-txn-tickets-url&token=1-ec88d0a49909a8695bdd3129ba78d857

Notice the front end of the URL…

The “http://” is removed when I click on the Print Tickets link.

That’s your browser just hiding the initial part of the URL.

I checked the General / Settings for the website URL. It is listed as http://www.mahightix.com for the WordPress and site URL

Thank you.

The link still starts with http://http//…..

… So even after removing the additional http:// from the shortcode and re-registering to generate a new ticket message the link starts http://http//?

Notice the front end of the URL…

I understand the problem, however the code used to generate the ticket URL is a WP core function that is used in multiple locations, if that was broken I’d expect more than just the ticket URL to be broken so we need to start with the ticket notice shortcode to make sure that is correct.

Tony,

How would I send you a screen dump? I am looking at the shortcode for the “Print Tickets” section and there is not a “http” in the URL when I initially click on it. It displays as [TXN_TICKETS_URL]. When I click on the pencil to edit it, it displays as [http://TXN_TICKETS_URL].

I remove the http:// from it and select apply. I am brought back to the first screen that now displays [TXN_TICKETS_URL] in red. If I select the edit pencil again, the http:// is back in the entry.

I can send you screen dumps if that helps. Let me know. Thanks.

Paul

Tony,

I may have fixed it. I reset the template and it appears to be working. I believe I edited the I’ll be testing it today and will let you know if I run across any issues.
