Hi Jeremy,

You are on the right track. We just need to double-check the name of the files.

Do they look like this:

event_espresso-es_ES.mo
event_espresso-es_ES.po

Hi Lorenzo. I have uploaded the mo file as yours above but cannot seem to download the po file. All I seem to be able to do on github is open it not download it. If I need the po file can you let me know the link to where I can download it?

Thanks

The PO file is needed when you want to add your own translations or modify the current ones.

When downloading the PO file you need to first left click on the PO link – http://take.ms/PfeIk

Then Right click on ‘View Raw’ and click ‘Save Link As…’ (or similar) http://take.ms/FMQIW

That will then download the PO file correctly.

Hi Jeremy,

Can you try re-downloading the mo file the way the Tony outlined (except Tony outlined how to right click save as on the po file).

Good morning Josh

Okay I downloaded as per instructions from Tony but no joy yet. The Spanish translation for registration has not kicked in.

I am looking at words like ‘price’ and ‘Available Spaces’ which should be translated.

Thanks

Hi Jeremy,

You mentioned WordPress is now in Spanish, is the Event Espresso Admin now in Spanish also? such as: http://take.ms/oGB2c

I just downloaded the translation files to test this and it worked fine for me.

Can you try with these files please:

http://take.ms/DeJhy
http://take.ms/LVFhx

Download both of those and place them within wp-content/uploads/espresso/langauages/

Replacing any files with the same name that may be there.

Also, I noticed you are currently running caching on the site. You’ll need to add Event Espresso’s critical pages to the do no cache list.

With WP-Super-Cache you need to go to Settings -> WP Super Cache -> Advanced tab.

Within there is a do not cache section, it does not have a heading but has the following test about the field:

Add here strings (not a filename) that forces a page not to be cached. For example, if your URLs include year and you dont want to cache last year posts, it’s enough to specify the year, i.e. ’/2004/’. WP-Cache will search if that string is part of the URI and if so, it will not cache that page.

Add these strings to that field:

event-registration
transactions
thank-you
registration-cancelled

Then click Save strings. It will look similar to this http://take.ms/7DYiz

You’ll then need to Purge/Delete the cache.

Hi Tony

Okay I am finally back to sorting this out. I have done as you said and used your files for languages and added pages to Super Cache and purged. For some reason I still have the same issue. Words such as Price, date, available spaces are not translating to spanish http://tour-junction.com/es/event-registration/

Thanks for your help

Jeremy
