This seems to be a common problem but I do not have the technical ability to be able to problem solve this issue. Our Paypal settings are in place, and the event ticket prices set and working, but rather than a PayPal button as before the upgrade, it has a button that says “Proceed to Payment Options” and when you hit that, it goes back to the form, no payment option. I can’t figure out how to change any code, even if I knew what to change (the page only says [EVENT_CHECKOUT]) and not sure how to change that. Please help. Registration was already announced and it’s been frustrating as each time we tweak the site, something else goes wrong.

Hi Mizue,
I’m looking into this and the first thing I suspect is this might be related to a caching issue. Can you contact your host to see if they are using some built in caching on the server, and if they are, can they disable caching for the event checkout and event thank you pages?
In the meantime, I can look into the WP Super Cache settings to see if there is an issue with its configuration. If it turns out that your host is also using caching, then WP Super Cache should probably not be installed on this site, so please let us know what you find out from your host.

Update:
A closer look reveals that your active WordPress theme is loading a second (and very out of date) copy of the jQuery JavaScript library. We can fix your theme, but we’ll need FTP or cpanel access to the server so we can update the theme files.
Can you re-send the redeem a support token form, and this time please be sure to include FTP credentials? Thank you.

Hi Mizue,
The WordPress theme required some fixes in its header.php, functions.php, and javascript.js files. With the fixes now in place, the event registration pages are now working correctly.
