HI I have spent the last 8 hours trying to setup this version. I spent a while last night and finally succeeded in getting the older version working and then decided to do the upgrades. Nothing seems to be working. This is happening on the page when clicking events http://www.rainbowsportsclub.com.au/events/ (dissapears). When I go to the actual event page – it brings up the message http://www.rainbowsportsclub.com.au/event-registration/ (Nothing in your Event Queue. I have worked with the permalinks to flush it but still nothing happening. When I list the actual ticket selector shortcode it brings up the view button (http://www.rainbowsportsclub.com.au/events-2/) when you click it – it brings up a 404 error and states the page doesn’t exist. Please desperate for help. |
HI Rosemary, How are you today? Sorry for the trouble. Let me see what I can do to help. When you say you succeeded in getting the “older version working”, what version are you referring to? A version of EE3 or a version of EE4? The content is being displayed, but it seems your theme’s css is trying to hide the results on the page. Here is a video of what happens when I look at your /events/ page: http://www.screencast.com/t/FlbJpAKUwJV Is the page /event-registration/ your event page, usually it’s something more descriptive such as /name-of-event/ e.g. it might be /events/registration-with-social-membership/ but that url does not return any results, like it’s draft status or does not exist. What happens if you temporarily change your theme to like Twenty Thirteen, or Twenty Fourteen themes? What are the urls to some of your event pages? |

When I installed Version 3 had it working beautifully and realised I needed to upgrade to 4. Had no issues with the css. The Version 4 has created its own events page as per the general settings. The events-registration page was the one that 3 had generated and no issues with css. It seems that the Version 4 is use the 2 column page template unlike 3. My site is down right now but will attempt changing the theme over to check and get back to you. This has become quite urgent now as I have spent 8 hours last night trying to figure out why this doesnt work. Thanks |

Hi temporarily changed it to another theme – it places the events page okay but when clicking on view details it takes me to the home page like the event is missing. Please can you help me? |

Hi have setup a testing page and inserted events listing shortcode on this page (which i can use instead of messing with CSS withe issue mentioned previously) http://www.rainbowsportsclub.com.au/events-testing/ As you can see when clicking on VIEW DETAILS it goes to a 404 page. Also i note that the templates choices are not in the 4 like they were in the 3 version and the way you list the event page does not have any options. This version does not appear to be as user friendly? thanks in advance. Rose |
Hello Rose, I am seeing some errors (screenshot: http://www.screencast.com/t/irCnCYAkx5) coming from some kind of Facebook scripts on this page: Can you try turning off the Facebook Like box in the left sidebar of that page? You might try weeding out other conflicting plugins as well, by temporarily deactivating all plugin, except for Event Espresso, then one-by-one turning them back on to see if one is causing a conflict. |

Hi Seth – i have tried turning off the facebook plugins and still same – i am not worred about the http://www.rainbowsportsclub.com.au/events/ page as it seems to be pulling the 2 column template and that is why it is dissapearing. I setup an event-testing page http://www.rainbowsportsclub.com.au/events-testing/ where you can see the full registration item. I am aware that I could probably set this from my menu to go to this page however if you note once you click on to VIEW details this is where things go wrong. Is there any chance that someone can assist having a look – as it is now 2 night working on this and with no luck at all. As mentioned the Version 3 worked great but realised i needed to update and now nothing is working smoothly. This project has been come urgent and I am not sure what to do now. Please can you help. Hi Rose, The first thing I would do is go to Settings > Permalinks and press the save button. This will flush your permalinks and hopefully will resolve the 404 error when going to the event. Regarding the hidden issues on /events/, there is definitely some CSS problems going on there though I’m struggling to see what it is, but I’m 99% certain it’s theme related as we simply don’t see this issue on the myriad of themes we test with or client themes in general. |

HI thanks for your response – i have tried this many times and is not working. The client is looking for something else as this is not working at all and we are wasting too much time waiting for email responses which I don’t seem to be getting any further. 16 hours of trying to get this working has done my head in. I am going to request a refund for this. I know your product V3 worked fine so I don’t understand why the 4 won’t work. Such a shame. Anyways unless someone can find a solution within the next day I will expect that a refund would be considered. Many thanks anyways. |
