I am using WordPress version 3.5.1 and Event Espresso 3.1.31.1. This is not a new installation.
I am having a problem sending mail to all attendees. I’ve got 460 people attending my party, but when I try to use the Event Espresso email attendees function to send them a message, the system seems to only mail about half of my group. Actually, after starting to process the messages, the system hangs and then I get the message below.:

Apache Server at wetnhot.net Port 80 My web host has a daily message limit, so I have signed up with SendGrid to send my transactional emails. I am using their WP SendGrid plugin to enable their servers process my messages instead of my web host. I use SendGrid to deliver WYSIJA email newsletters to my 1500 person list and it works fine, so I know that this problem is not due to some limit on SendGrid’s behalf.
I noticed that there was a very similar forum post about on year ago on this very topic. Has this situation been resolved? What do I need to do to make this work?

Same problem here – I’m also using SendGrid and messages aren’t getting through.

Hi all,
This may be more of an issue of the emails timing out for other reasons (like hitting a memory limit while it’s parsing out the shortcodes in the email template.
You might try increasing the memory available in the server, or changing the email templates that’s being sent out to not include any shortcodes.
There’s a feature request ticket in the system to build out an email queue and utilize a cron job to send out the emails in smaller groups, but this isn’t something that’s been built yet.
