We cannot create a custom Registration Approved message, the only option is global – and no other custom messages send to our users after registration. This is problematic as not all of our events in this timeframe will have the same custom link to log in, and we need a custom message for this item. How do we override this. The option isn’t even there (it is for all other message types for our event.) |

Hi there, Sounds like the Global message template has it’s override option set. Edit the global Registration Approved message template, either in: Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default Message Templates -> Registration Approved. Or within the Notifications section of an event (where you set an event to use a custom message type) and click edit on the registration approved message. It doesn’t matter which ‘context’ you edit for this (Event Admin, Primary Registrant or Registrant) but look in the ‘Updation Actions’ metabox where the save buttons are. There should be an ‘Override all custom’ checkbox and it sounds like that has been checked, correct? If so, uncheck and save. You should now be able to select custom message types again. |

I don’t have an update actions metabox. I also do not have the ability to use custom in the default messages section either. Custom doesn’t show for this particular item. https://www.dropbox.com/s/4e582717jiaaxzw/Screen%20Shot%202021-03-26%20at%2012.11.33%20PM.png?dl=0 and https://www.dropbox.com/s/jtxonupuqs9mx1o/Screen%20Shot%202021-03-26%20at%2012.12.23%20PM.png?dl=0 |

You need to edit the message template, right now you are viewing the message type list. On this section: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4e582717jiaaxzw/Screen%20Shot%202021-03-26%20at%2012.11.33%20PM.png?dl=0 Click the edit button on the Registration Approved row. Then you’ll be editing the message template, now look for the Update actions mextabox. |

AAAH! Yes, it’s there! HOWEVER, we still are having issues – the ONLY email this event sends to our audience is the Registration Approved one. And even though we specified a custom one for this event (now), it STILL sends the (wrong) Global one, even after selecting the custom one. https://www.dropbox.com/s/fusiieo9cfgvkb2/Screen%20Shot%202021-03-26%20at%2012.52.25%20PM.png?dl=0 And: https://www.dropbox.com/s/wjg4azxdd7bgdi5/Screen%20Shot%202021-03-26%20at%2012.53.32%20PM.png?dl=0 |

Are you using Multi Event Registration or just signing up to that one event? Can you link me to the event so I cant take a look? (You can mark the reply private so only EE staff can see it if preferred) |

This reply has been marked as private. | |
We’re signing up to that one event only. |

I can’t preview posts without logging into the site, so I can’t view the above. I can take a quick look over it if you can send temp login details over? You can do so using this form: https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ |
