Get this gray box that goes nowhere when I hit edit or delete in the payment details section http://eangus.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/6/2015/06/Edit-Payment-Details.jpg |
Now “apply payment” has the same issue. The same white bar shows. |
Hi Eangus, Are you running any form of translations on the site? If you switch to one of the default themes and retest do you see the information? You can do this without switching the theme for your visitors using Theme Test Drive |
I don’t know what translations are. I just tested 2 themes from Theme Test Drive. |
Hi, the earlier question was regarding translating Event Espresso into another language. For example, did you recently switch your WP site from English to another language? — |
Nope. All english. Has never been translated. |

Hi, Can you try disabling all other plugins except EE and see if the issue persists? It strikes me that this is likely a plugin conflict. |
Disable ALL other plugins? Or are you talking about all the EE add-on plugins? Too many issues and glitches with EE. |
No we are trying to identify which of the plugins you have installed are causing the conflict. The EE Add-ons are tested against EE itself, so its very unlikely to be one of those. You mentioned that it was recently working then stopped, did anything change between those times? Did you install/update a plugin?
As much as we would love to we can’t test Event Espresso with every plugin combination available, there are just too many different plugins to do so. This means that from time to time a plugin conflict may happen, we try to rectify these issues as soon as as we can (if it is possible from our end) but we first need to know which plugin is causing the conflict. You could also try enabling WP_DEBUG and see if any errors are being thrown on that page. |
Nothing changed at that time. No plugins were installed. The only plugin that was updated was EE. This isn’t the only glitch with EE. I’m still awaiting a resolution to use the Edit registration information function. Two weeks now, and still not resolved. Our event is upcoming and need functions to work especially editing payment details. I’ll try WP-DEBUG |
Also if you open up Chrome Dev tools or similar and look within the console, are there any Javascript errors? |

That’s actually the elements tab of Dev tools. If you click the >> you should see more tabs, one of them will be console – http://take.ms/IxJ7n See if there are any errors shown there. |

Hmm, ok, that shouldn’t cause this. Can I take a look at your transaction page? If so please send temporary login details using this form: https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ I still suspect this to be a plugin conflict, which requires the plugins to be disabled to troubleshoot. Do you have a development copy of the site this can be tested on? |
Submitted login information. No development copy of site. Please let me know when finished so I can change password. Thanks. |
The code for that dialog box simply isn’t loading at all within the page. Have you modified the Event Espresso core files at all? I noticed something odd when I loaded the page – http://take.ms/405Ov If you notice the path at the bottom of the page, is… domain.com/wp-content/plugins/*ROOT PATH*/wp-content/themes/….. That isn’t right and may be a clue as to whats happening. I would recommend firstly creating a full site backup (including all files and the database) Then de-activate and delete Event Espresso, download the latest version from Your Account Page, go to Dashboard -> Plugins -> Add new -> Upload Plugin. Then upload the version of Event Espresso you just downloaded. Then re-test. If that doesn’t work you’ll need to do a full troubleshoot, this involves de-activating ALL plugins other than Event Espresso, switching to a default theme and re-testing. If it works activate each of your plugins 1 by 1 to find the plugin that is causing the problem. It is highly recommended to do this on a development server away from you visitors. This can be a locally or on a subdomain of your server. One of the easiest ways to create a dev copy of your site is using the Duplicator plugin. |

Developers referred from m your site haven’t been able to figure this out. EE is seriously flawed and costing more money! |
Hi EANGUS, I do understand your frustration, but this is not something we have been able to reproduce on any of our test sites. We (the support team) run test sites across multiple different server setups and test across multiple sites. This is the first report we have seen of this, there was a similar issue where the page would load off-screen (which Lorenzo referred to earlier) but that isn’t what is happening here. The content of the payment model is not loading at all, it simply isn’t within the source code of the page to be displayed. If you would like to create an account on http://demoee.org/ and take a look at the same page you’ll notice it works there, you could even view the source code on that page and compare it with yours you’ll notice a large section of it is missing (search for ‘ee-admin-dialog-container’ and you’ll find it has no content), that is the code for the payment page. Currently we suspect this is either due to a plugin conflict, in which case a full troubleshoot mentioned above would identify the plugin causing it. Or modified files within the server, this could customisations to Event Espresso core or other code injected within files on the server causing problems. The fact that the payment model simply stopped working one day indicates that ‘something’ changed. Plugin updates? Theme updates? If neither of the above then it is possible something changed on the server that is preventing that page from loading. With no errors being reported even with WP_DEBUG enabled we have very little to work on. We did however work on an unrelated issue to this in which the user reported that sections of Event Espresso suddenly stopped loading, this turned out to be caused by malicious code that had been injected into the servers files, this code disabled error reporting but cause multiple issues. I’m not saying this is the case here, but it is another possibility. Does your host provide any form of malware scanning tools? (The previous user mentioned above also had security plugins installed that did not detect the issue mentioned)
I don’t understand this? Do you mean one of the developers from our pros page? |
