Hello -I found your plugin and it looks great. Here is what I would like to be able to do and wanted to confirm that this will work before purchasing… We have a Youth event that we would like to take registrations for. The Youth are in various geographic areas that roll up under two separate organizations and each youth group has their own set of leaders. The group as a whole also has a set of leaders as well as a team of people organizing the event. Here is what we would need: – Event organizers and site admins – Access to ALL youth registrations A nice to have would be an e-signature option for a photo release. Can the plugin and/or add-ons handle this type of structure as part of the regular setup? I just don’t want to have to bend and shape it to make it do something it isn’t designed for. Thanks in advance! |
Hi there, Thank you for contacting us! We appreciate your interest in Event Espresso. With EE3 and the Roles and Permissions Pro add-on, you can set up regions and add users to specific regions that they can have access to. The Roles and Permissions Pro add-on is included in the Developer license package, or can be purchased separately with the Personal or Business license packages. However, this is only at one level, so it would work for organization leaders, but you wouldn’t be able to drill down even more to limit the local youth leaders. Does that make sense? The Youth and Parents can modify their registrations by clicking a link in the email they receive. Also, with WP User Integration you can setup an My Events page that will show them the events they have registered for and allow them to download receipts. The WP User Integration add-on is included in the EE3 Business and Developer license packages, or can be purchased separately with the EE3 Personal license package. We don’t have e-signature functionality. Also, we will be adding more permission functionality in EE4.6 soon. This may provide the functionality that you need. If you purchase the EE3 Business license package, you will have access to the EE4 core and equivalent add-ons that you have for EE3. I know this is a lot to take in. I’ll be happy to answer anymore questions you might have. |

Thanks Jonathan – Can the region managers be set to multiple and overlapping locales? My thought would be that in order to take out the additional layer I could just create two separate events (one for each org) and then assign the local leaders as event admins and the other leaders as region managers with access to all of the local events. It doesn’t put all of the kids under one big event but for us that’s probably still okay cause the highest level admins will have administrative access to everything anyway. Just want to make sure I can trick it before I drop the $300. I’d hate to find out that it doesn’t work for us. |

Hi, Just to clarify the Roles and Permissions and Regional Managers etc are in EE3 only at moment in time. Regional Managers can indeed be assigned to multiple locales, and more than one regional manager can be assigned to the same locale. |
