I’ve looked at previous forms related to this and see lots of reference to this article: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/change-events-cpt-slug/

I know it’s possible to change the events slug, however I’m wondering if it’s possible to remove it completely. So, rather then having a URL called .com/events/awesomeparty I’d love to keep the URL simple and just go with .com/awesomeparty. I still have a need for the .com/events URL that would then show all events listed on our site, however would just like to remove the slug on the actual event page.

Can you show me how this can be done?
Thanks!

Hey Michael,

Since that url is the custom post type url slug, I don’t know of a way to do that without removing the slug for custom post types all together. That would affect any plugin that used custom post types.

Here is a tutorial on how to do that, but it seems “hacky”. We don’t recommend it, and we cannot support it: http://colorlabsproject.com/tutorials/remove-slugs-custom-post-type-url/
