We unfortunately sold the client on the layout of the Grid display… but have just realized that it’s incompatible with the Multi-event Registration plugin. We are pretty bummed… has there been any movement or success getting these to play well together? What is the problem exactly…?
The two aren’t actually incompatible, because you can use both on the same site and each plugin will do what it’s designed to do.
The Grid template add-on was designed to show a simple grid list of events and it was not designed to include the ticket selector table within each grid. The tickets are added to the cart via the ticket selector table, and that particular layout doesn’t fit all that well into small grid blocks.
If you want a grid layout of events where the ticket selector can be included you can check out a number of free WordPress themes that use a grid layout for the post archives (which means you can have a ticket selector included on each event post).
Josh – I love you.
Thanks so much. When we read that alert we kinda freaked out. I don’t think we want the tickets select to show up there… just a Learn More button that takes folks to the Event detail page.
May I ask what was the alert about that you read? I’m not familiar with an alert about an incompatibility between those two plugins.
