Linked to this https://eventespresso.com/topic/how-to-update-contact-info-when-a-purchaser-has-purchased-for-someone-else/ If a purchaser buys tickets for multiple individuals at one time but doesn’t add the individual contact details at the time of purchase, can they go and add the details later or is it a backend process (meaning I or my staff have to do it) only? |

Hi Omar, How would the user register onto the event? Would the event only collect the ‘Primary Registrant’ info at the time of registration or would the user input the same details into each registration info section at first? (I’m asking to confirm how this is set up and see what options you have available, as it stands I would say it’s likely to be an admin-only process but it may be possible by the user). |

Thanks, I am using the ‘Don’t allow the registrant to copy details to other participants’ trick/filter. I don’t know if that answers your question. |
|
Can you add more details on what that trick is? Are you hiding the option to copy “Attendee 1s” details to all other attendees? If so, what details is the user providing at the time of registration if they aren’t providing the ‘real’ info? |

I had to go back and check to see what was actually happening. It appears the tickbox to hide Attendee 1 from copying is ticked. At this time we are only requesting the additional participants first and last name, however we will ultimately need email DOB and telephone as well. In practice, this means that attendee 1s first and last names get filled into the additional attendee fields. On the thank you page I noticed that it is possible to change attendee 1s details but for the additional attendees It’s only possible to resend the confirmation emails. There is also a link that says “Click here to edit All Attendee Information” but, again, you can only change attendee 1. https://www.hiphopinternational.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/Screen-Shot-2021-03-10-at-6.47.45-PM.png |

Looks like I need an account to register, do you have a test account I can use or should I just register on the site and test? |

Ok, so your only collecting details for the Primary Registrant right now, which means there IS only one registrant, all of the registrations will be linked to that one person’s details and that’s why you can only edit one set of details. To be able to edit details for each registrant, you need to quest the questions for both the Primary And Additional Registrants, the bottom questions on this section in the editor: |

Thanks. I refer back to myy original post on the subject (https://eventespresso.com/topic/how-to-update-contact-info-when-a-purchaser-has-purchased-for-someone-else/) We categories that allow up to 40 participants. One person filling details for 40 is both time consuming and resource intensive. This results in poor performance on the website and lost sales. We switched to the registrant registering only him/herself and collecting the additional details later to save resources. Now we need an efficient way of adding the additional attendee’s contact info after the sale. Any suggestions? |

I checked into this and currently, the only way you can do that within EE is through the admin. Unless the event is set to capture Personal Info for each registrant it won’t show up when trying to edit the registration data. |

Thanks,Tony. It’s as I thought but wanted to check in. |

You’re most welcome. |
