Hi, I’ve just upgraded the Calendar to the most recent version (2.2.3.p), but now its not populating with the events. I’ve reverted to the previous version but this obviously needs sorting out. Can you please advise? Thanks |
|
Hi, Without seeing the calendar in action it is very difficult to diagnose the issue. I have tested 2.2.3 on local test servers and it populates just fine. The changes from 2.2.2 to 2.2.3 were relatively minor, some general logic fixes. You could also try re-saving the calendar settings after upgrading, this will sometimes reset any errors with the calendar. |

Thanks – looks like I’ve changed from 2.0.4 so that might explain it. Just tried re-saving the settings but still not populating. Here’s the link: http://www.training4logistics.co.uk/ |

Hi Paul, The calendar is populating, it shows the June event. However, all your other events are on a weekend and the calendar has weekends removed. Can you check that the Show Weekends option in the Calendar settings is not set to No. |
|
Thanks very much – I’m obviously not very observant today! I missed that the June event looked ok, and had been all through the Calendar settings, but not noticed the Show Weekends setting. Now fixed and working perfectly so thanks again. |

Can we please reopen this query? Having done some more testing, we’ve realised that the calendar is showing 7 days on Firefox on my PC, but is only showing 5 days (and therefore missing the weekend events) on Firefox on Macs. Its also only showing 5 days on both PC and Mac on Chrome, Safari and Internet Explorer. |
Hi Paul, I looked at your site in Firefox and Chrome on a Mac and the calendar is displaying the events on the correct days: April events – http://cl.ly/image/060t2c2Z3g1p June events – http://cl.ly/image/0y2R2J0d1s0p Is there a specific event that is showing on the wrong day? — |

|
No – no specific missing events – the calendar is only showing 5 days instead of 7, in some browsers and operating systems. I don’t have a Mac so am unable to check, but a colleague has had a look for me. Why your Mac is displaying all 7 days, and his is only displaying 5 is very strange. Does anyone have any ideas about this? |
Are you running any caching services or plugins? Try a force refresh: http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#force-refresh — |

Thanks – I’ve tried it on my pc and looks like it was the plugin cache because I’m now seeing the complete calendar on all pages in all browsers. I just need to confirm with my contact with the Mac that that’s working correctly also. I didn’t realise that plugins had caches, so I guess that explains all the inconsistencies. |
Hi Paul, When you run a caching plugin it will load up a cached version of the website when you’re logged out of the site. That’s why you saw the inconsistencies. Whenever you make changes to the site (new plugins, change widgets, or change settings) it’s best practice to go into the caching plugin’s settings and clear its cache so your settings will apply consistently. |

Right, I wasn’t aware of this. I can’t though see any caching settings in the Calendar settings. Am I missing something? |
