Hi there Daniel, could you double-check the shortcode for the events calendar?

It looks like it may be set to show a specific category only.

I use this shortcode [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR cal_view=”agendaWeek” event_category_id=”46″]. 46 is ID of the category that I want to show, but dont appear the events

Hi Daniel,

The first thing to check and change here is the version of jQuery you are loading.

Your theme is forcing version 1.7.2, and the latest WordPress ships with 1.11.1. We recommend and support only two versions prior to that (so jQuery 1.9.0 roughly).

While I’m fairly confident swapping to the correct version of jQuery will resolve it, if it doesn’t we will at least have a level playing field to work with while we investigate further.

My site already use only 1.7.2 version, because I use Cherry Framework and It loads this version /wp-content/themes/CherryFramework/js/jquery-1.7.2.min.js

Url to calendar is http://workit.com.mx/calendario-de-clases/, you can see

Hi Daniel,

I can see your events – http://take.ms/5JTn4

Can you check if the ‘Category’ dropdown (shown in the screenshot above) currently has an option selected there?

Can you post up the full shortcode you are using please?

The calendar should already default to show all events.

First try [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR cal_view=”agendaWeek” event_category_id=”46″]

Now is [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR cal_view=”agendaWeek”]

Hi Daniel,

The quotes may be what’s messing things up for you, can you try it like this:

[ESPRESSO_CALENDAR cal_view="agendaWeek" event_category_id=46]

Note that in the above example, those a are different type of double quote than what’s posted in your reply.

Alternatively, you can use the category’s slug instead of the ID for the category identifier like this:

[ESPRESSO_CALENDAR cal_view="agendaWeek" event_category_id="event-category-slug"]

I try with [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR cal_view=”agendaWeek” event_category_id=46] and [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR cal_view=”agendaWeek” event_category_id=”defensa-personal”], but dont show nothing on load page.

Only it seems to work with the onchange event of the select.

Since you’re loading in a specific category for this page’s calendar, can you try disabling the category filter and category legend?

Daniel

Right now is [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR cal_view=”agendaWeek”]. I identical, not showing on load page

Hi Daniel, could you try temporarily turning off the category legend and the dropdown through the events calendar settings page within your WordPress dashboard?

Hi Daniel, your theme appears to be loading an old version of jQuery than what WordPress uses. I’ve sent over some information with a possible workaround.
