Calendar is now showing 'View More' link for days with multiple events…

Hello EE Team,

We’ve just recently upgraded to the latest version of EE, and we’re now seeing a ‘view more’ link in the calendar where we have particularly heavy event days with multiple events. This isn’t working for us. Was this an a change in how calendar works? How can we disable this to just have the weeks dynamically expand when more events are present?

Hi,

Well, the calendar *should* just expand. I’m going to need to refer to a developer on this one, as I am unable to recreate this but I can see that the code allows for it. Let me get back to you.

Hi,

Is your calendar shortcode using the parameter max_events_per_day ?

Please advise that.

If it isn’t please add the following to the calendar shortcode max_events_per_day=”100″

e.g. [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR max_events_per_day=”100″]

Hi there,

It’s looking like this didn’t work. Our team has made sure this shortcode is in place, but the calendar still displays this ‘view more’ message for certain days. What to check or try next?

Hi,

Something else must be affecting this then.

Can you try a full trouble shoot and disable all plugins except EE and EE Calendar and see if the issue persists?

If the issue does NOT persist, then it’s a plugin conflict – re-activate all plugins one by one testing the calendar each time (remember to refresh the page).

If it continues, please temporarily swap to a different default theme such as twentyfifteen and test again (the Theme Test Drive plugin is useful for this).

If none of that makes any difference, let me know and I’ll refer back to the developers.

Update: I found your site, please update to the current version of the calendar (3.2.2.p)
