HI Tony – If you look at our event here https://2021.eosconference.com/events/lead-now-business-recharge-event/ and click the calendar icon, when it saves to Ical, the time line shows 9am to 2pm, when really the event starts at 1PM and runs to 6PM. I went through our settings, and didn’t see anywhere specific to change the time. Can you please assist?
Within Event Espresso event times are saved within the DB in UTC
You’re site’s timezone is currently set to UTC+0 meaning as far as your site is concerned your in UTC+0.
iCal’s take the DateTime in UTC and your times are saved in UTC but then you’re using the Datetimes as though they are PDT.
So what’s happening is your setting the times in UTC and they are saved directly to the DB as is with no offset (because your site is set to UTC in general settings), then the iCal is using the value in UTC (which is expected) but the UTC value is wrong, then whatever you are opening the iCal with is using the UTC value to apply the time which again, is wrong.
When I open your iCal your times show up as 2-7pm (I’m in the UK).
So, you’ll need to fix the timezone of your site in Dashboard -> Settings -> General -> Timezone and select a city closest to the timezone you want to use.
However, that is also going to alter all of the DateTimes saved within your site, do you have many events on that site?
