I’ve just updated EE for a client after 3 years, and this error is appearing above the calendar page.

Any ideas, what I’ve got to do here?
Warning: file_get_contents() [function.file-get-contents]: http:// wrapper is disabled in the server configuration by allow_url_fopen=0 in /home/boulde20/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-requirements-check/espresso_requirements_check.php on line 106

Warning: file_get_contents(http://boulderwalkingtours.com/wp-content/themes/earth-nature/style.css) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found in/home/boulde20/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-requirements-check/espresso_requirements_check.php on line 106

This is the message on the requirements page – Espresso Requirements Check could not find apache_get_modules.
Apache function apache_get_modules() was not found. This is most likely due to your PHP version or your PHP configuration. This function is used by the requirements check plugin to identify what Apache modules are enabled and, if not found will result in warning messages having to do with your server configuration. While this is not a problem, it does result in less-accurate results in the Espresso Requirements Check. Please contact your webhost if you are concerned and ask them if it is possible to run PHP as an Apache module rather than CGI.

Thanks

Ben

Hi bbradley,

Do you have the Event Espresso Requirements Check plugin installed and activated? You don’t need to keep that plugin activated, it’s really for informational purposes to check your server settings. Can you deactivate that plugin and tell me if the error persists?

What version of the requirements plugin do you have, there might be a newer version: http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/event-espresso-requirements-check.zip

Thanks Garth,

That worked.
I’m also getting these 2 errors on the event registration pages.
Warning: Missing argument 2 for event_espresso_price_dropdown(), called in /home/boulde20/public_html/wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates/registration_page_display.php on line 144 and defined in /home/boulde20/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/includes/functions/pricing.php on line 366

Warning: extract() expects parameter 1 to be array, null given in /home/boulde20/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/includes/functions/pricing.php on line 372

Yesterday, I deactivated and deleted all previous version of EE, uploaded all latest EE, then activated. Looking at the events, it appears they have all duplicated overnight. Are the errors referring to previous versions of EE?

I think I’ll have to transfer attendees from the old events for the future, and put them on the new events created.

Thanks
Ben

Ignore my last post Garth. Turns out there was every old template file in the uploads folder. Removed them all, and it looks like its all good now.

Thanks

Ben
