Let me start by saying, I have read the threads about updating to WordPress 4.5. Our calendar disappeared and we did not change anything about our wordpress or add or update any of out plugins at all. It just literally disappeared and I cant figure out why. We are still using WordPress 4.4.3
What is the full shortcode you are using on that page?
Is it just [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR]?
If you create a new temporary page, it doesn’t matter what its called but lets say ‘EE Test’, then place the Calendar shortcode within that page does it show the calendar?
Do you have FTP access to the site to enable WP_DEBUG and see if any errors are being thrown?
I tried creating a new page and it did not show up there either.
Yes, I am using the [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR] shortcode. That is it. The weird thing is that we didn’t change anything. All I did was add a new event and when I went to cehck it, it was gone.
I am not very versed on this stuff, but we use Hostgator or our hosting and I think we have FTP access through them. But I would not know how to run the WP_Debug. What should I do? Do I need to purchase a support token? This calendar is the lifeblood of our business so I need to get it back up ASAP.
Well, just went to check it again and it is back working again. I did not do a single thing or change anything, it just came back. I tried it from several different devices last night and this morning and it wasn’t working. Not sure why all of a sudden it is working again.
It was possibly an issue with the server but its hard to know for sure.
Do you know how much memory you have available to the site? You can check within Event Espresso -> System Status.
Search for ‘WP Memory Limit’, what does it show?
