Since I have updated the calendar and event espresso plugins, both calendars separate events colors have all gone away and are blue. The color pickers are all enabled in calendar settings and the individual categories are all set for different colors, yet they do not display despite various attempts to change/fix |
Hi Clair, I checked your fitness calendar from a prior support post and I do see that most events appear in blue. However, I also see events overlaid in pink, red, and black. Could you share more information on what is not working? — |

Maybe we’re looking at a calendar from a different site than the one you sent in the support token? The one at intensity.club/events-calendar has a Zumba Party date that’s green. It may help if you can let us know which events aren’t the right color. Thanks. |

Hi Guys, http://intensity.club/tennis/adult-tennis/clinics/ http://intensity.club/fitness/fitness-calendar/ For some reason some of the colors work on the fitness schedule (2 of them are hardcoded with css on the page itself) but that shouldn’t be the solution for this problem right? |

Lorenzo – all of the classes we offer have a different color associated with them (herman’s are yellow, yoga is grey etc.) via the color picker in the calendar settings. Prior to the update these displayed correctly, but after updating they do not |
It looks like multiple categories are being applied to the events that are blue on the Calendar. The older version of the calendar did not account for this, so it would randomly grab the colors assigned by category, but the new version changes this and actually arranges the categories by name before it picks the color. The change can be disabled, but we’ll need FTP access to add a little function that uses WordPress filter hook to switch the category color selection to the way it worked before. Can you send FTP credentials via the redeem a support token form so we can add the code? |
ok i have sent you the FTP credentials. Please let me know when you have made the changes! Thanks a lot! |
Hi there, I checked and we haven’t received anything from you. Can you resend? |
my apologies, they should be there now |
I guess I should have asked specifically for FTP access to the wp-content folder on your server, instead we have access to an empty folder on the site. If you’re comfortable with editing PHP files, I can give you the code here, or otherwise please update the FTP account so we can access the wp-content folder. Thank you. |
ok – i have resent you different credentials that should work please check now! Thanks |
The updated credentials you just sent result in a message that says invalid password. When you input the password in the secure form, can you try doing a copy and paste into that field? |
try now |
It still says invalid password. Maybe you can send cpanel access and we’ll take it from there? |
please try one more time. I realized i provided the wrong ftp host for you. Thank you for your patience |
it’s still the same, wrong info. |
im not sure where we are going wrong… i am using the credentials i sent in filezilla and i am getting right through… |
Well we’re not getting through with the credentials you sent us. Here’s a link to a github gist that has the code: https://gist.github.com/joshfeck/c9220da1f78a1b34d8d8 You can add the above to a functions plugin or into your WordPress theme’s functions.php file. If you add it to a plugin, you’ll need to activate the plugin to activate the code. |
it worked! thank you so much! |
Thanks for confirming. Please go ahead and deactivate the temporary login information that was provided earlier today. — |
