Hello, How is this now possible in EE4? We already tried Aparna’s Codex, but it issued errors which could not be resolved by the vendor/coder. |
Hi there, EE4 does not offer a way to add additional products/prices/add-ons onto a registration, you either need to include those in the ticket price or use Aparna’s Price Modifier add-on. May I ask what issues you had with the add-on? |

Hello Tony, |
Hi Thomas,
With the number of feature requests we get, we have to prioritize our developments for features with the highest number of requests, our own roadmap for Event Espresso and also need to take into consideration 3rd party integrations. In the case of a Price modifier add-on, there’s a 3rd party add-on available for the users that need it and whilst that doesn’t mean we dismiss the feature completely, it is taken into consideration. Right now we are working on a redesigned event/ticket editor and recurring events add-on. Why do we need a new editor? One reason is that recurring events need to be managed and doing that within the current editor simply didn’t work well. It’s not the only reason, but recurring events are closely coupled with the new setup. This means that all our development time is currently spent on those features and although we don’t have an ETA for release, we can’t start looking into others until thats done (with a few exceptions for security issues, payment method related issues like support for PSD2 etc).
I misread your opening post concerning errors from the price modifier add-on and though the issues was a usability issue (ie you couldn’t get it to create modifiers in a way you want it to) rather than it threw errors. Unfortunately, the add-on throwing errors isn’t something we can provide support for as its not an add-on we wrote. I don’t know which errors you are getting but on testing version 1.1 I didn’t run into any issues.
Unfortunately, Event Espresso can not meet the requirements for every user all the time, as much as we would love to do so it simply isn’t doable. If conditional logic within your registrations forms is a hard requirement for your events which you need asap, then EE may not be the right option for you right now as it is unlikely to be released relatively ‘soon’. It also sounds like you want more than conditional logic in that you need conditional logic + modifiers so I’m not even sure if the feature we have listed is what you are actually looking for. I’m not trying to talk you out of EE and into another product here, but we also can’t release a conditional logic add-on/snippet/feature relatively soon whilst working on the features we currently are and we can’t drop the current features to start another.
We welcome all feedback, be it positive or negative from our users as both help us to improve. |
