Hi sriddle,

EE4 is currently not compatible with EE3 Add-ons.

To use the Calendar you would need to continue using EE3 until a version is release for EE4.

Regarding.

‘you do not have sufficient permissions to access this page’

Is this for EE4 settings or the Calendar?

Hi sriddle,
EE4 is currently not compatible with EE3 Add-ons.
– Is there a training schedule? How will people see the events on the page??
– i can’t seem to be able to activate ee3 as i get the following error code:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare espresso_version() (previously declared in /home/sites/anniebarr.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/espresso.php:31) in /home/sites/anniebarr.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-2/espresso.php on line 36

To use the Calendar you would need to continue using EE3 until a version is release for EE4.
– ok. What about the schedule and the events appearing on my site?

I’m sorry, I’m not sure what you mean by training schedule?

EE4 uses custom post types, to view your events you would go to http://www.anniebarr.com/events/ by default.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare espresso_version() (previously declared in /wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/espresso.php:31) in /wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-2/espresso.php on line 36

You can only have 1 version of Event Espresso activate at any time so you need to de-acitvate EE4, then activate EE3. Some of the shortcodes in use will have changed to EE4’s equivalents and will need to be changed back.

– ok. What about the schedule and the events appearing on my site?

The ‘schedule’ depends on how you set it up. Was this an page using a shortcode such as [EVENT_LIST]?

– this is for the calendar

You’ll need to de-activate either the Calendar, or revert back to EE3.

Before updating to EE4 did you make a backup of the site? If so I would advise you to restore the backup, simply because it is the quickest method to revert.
