Due to 2020 events being cancelled because of COVID-19 I need to transfer entries from cancelled events to the 2021 versions of the same event. As we have a series, some events went ahead but others were cancelled. This means only the entrants from the cancelled events need to be transferred otherwise I would just simply change the dates on the entire series to 2021. I don’t really want to go through 500 entries and have to manually change the tickets for each one. Can anyone help?
You could do a CSV report of the original event, then use the Attendee Importer plugin to import the attendees into the new event. You can follow this guide to get up and running with the Attendee Importer plugin:
Thanks for this. Once the event is set up and the attendees transferred can the event still take bookings through the usual online entry system? I need to transfer attendees from canceled events but I still need to sell the additional places and ideally want all of the entries in one place so I can easily manage numbers.
If I understand your question, then yes, your new event would just be a normal event and will work as normal even after you’ve imported attendee onto it.
When you say ‘events’ do you mean Datetimes within an event?
Or do you have individual events that you are now combining into one?
