September 19, 2016 at 11:21 am Hello guys, My client Craig clicked on this week’s event. He has 154 registrants for the September event. He sent a bulk email. Many of the registrants for the September conference had also attended previous conferences. Each registrant that had registered for previous events received a link to the PREVIOUS events. So when Craig started getting complaints he could successfully “Resend Ticket Notice”. I very carefully checked with him that he actually selected the September event, and THEN reviewed the Registrations. I thought he might have simply selected all the registrations since they started Event Espresso. He explained that he selected the event first and send only to that group. He says it seems that just the people that had a previous registration experienced the problem. We are further testing this but want to get your input. Thanks, Dave Knoerr for Craig Burgess |

Hi Dave, Which version number of EE4 are you currently using? Which shortcode/link within the message was for the previous registration they made? |
|
Hi Tony, Event Espresso 4.8.33.p And we are using the default link that comes when you click on send a message from the event. We click Events |

September 21, 2016 at 10:43 am Hi Dave, The issue you report here was actually fixed in version 4.8.36. So if you intend on sending more newsletters that include ticket links, your way forward is update your site to have the latest version of EE4. |

Josh, thank you for the info. I just updated the EE version and Craig will be sending out another bulk email tonight. Thanks again, Dave Knoerr |

Please do let us know if you run into any problems with this batch. |

Now we have a new issue. After updating to EE newest version, I attempted a batch email send and it failed. I got an error message saying a database error has occurred. Turn on WP_DEBUG for more information. Our event is 2 days away and I need to email all registrants before Sunday. HELP! |
|
Try sending a smaller batch of messages, say 30 in one go, does it send then? |

Well, it’s been about 10 mins and 1 of the 5 registrants has reported back that they DID NOT receive an email. |
|
Tony or whomever, could you possibly login to our account and see what’s going on, please? |

Hi Craig, You can check the Event Espresso > Messages > Message Activity table to see which emails got sent. As you are probably aware, it’s possible to send out an email, and when it’s an automated email, sometimes spam filters will catch them before they make it into an inbox. |
