Hi there, was just wondering if there were any updates on the following function. Is there no way to select multiple events and change their category, or author all at once like you can do with normal posts, pages, etc.
I wonder why this isn’t possible to do when most other post types it is? If there isn’t any update on this, have you heard of anyone doing it, or know of any way to do this within the WordPress back-end at all? Either through 3rd party, or otherwise (not including contacting developer for customization).
May I ask are you using a WordPress plugin that adds the functionality to bulk edit other post type post’s categories and authors? The reason I ask is because I’m not aware of that being a core WordPress feature.
I’m talking about this edit screen (posts, pages, etc.), which has been core in WordPress for as long as I’ve known. We have over 1300 events, so something like this is highly needed to change multiple events at once into a different category, or different author to manage, etc.
Thanks for clarifying. So what you can do is activate the native admin list table editor routes for the Event Espresso events custom post type, and the code is posted in this other topic:
You can add the above to a functions plugin or into your WordPress theme’s functions.php file.
You’ll note that with the native admin routes activated, you’ll now have two menu items that take you to two different pages that list events in the WordPress admin. The native list should only be used for bulk editing.
