Bulk edit on datetimes and tickets?

Hi there, I have this event which has 12 different datetimes, each date times I would have unique General, member and concession tickets. In theory, this event would have ended up with 36 tickets. It is quite a lot of work to edit them. And I am planning to create 39 of similar events with different dates.

Is there any way I can bulk edit them. Or I can just jump into the database to edit? I know I can duplicate one item and go in to change all those 36 tickets. But it is just a pain. Any hints would be helpful. Thanks a lot.

Hi Hody,

We do not recommend making changes to the database itself. Instead, make those changes through the event editor so that they are updated correctly.

What about setting up default tickets and prices for future events? You can save an existing ticket to be a default for future events, and you can save tickets to be used with all new events. Go to Event Espresso > Pricing (Default Pricing, Price Types, Tax Settings).

Hi all, the problem is that I have quite a few datetimes. Basically what I have done is to separate the event by day, and in the one day, there are 12 time sessions, each time session allows 200 tickets to be sold. Lastly, there are three type of tickets, general, members and concession. I can’t really further separate it as it is already quite complex. That’s why I would like to have some sort of bulk edit tool.

What I am doing right now is basically to create this one reference event, which contains 12 time slot datetime, and each datetime has 3 types of individual tickets. therefore when people book ticket, they will select the unique ticket for the time slot. Then lastly, I duplicate the event and go in manually change all the dates for all the time slot datetime. This is quite time consuming process, especially giving the nature of the difference is only the date.

ANy idea to make this better?
Thanks a lot.

Hi Hody,

Unfortunately, I do not have any suggestions on the setup of the events as you are creating the pricing options under an event as they are needed.

So there is no way I can just jump into the database and possibly using SQL command to bulk change the dates?

Yes, you could probably change the dates manually, but we can’t help you do that.
