I have two promotions on my site that expired October 1. Unfortunately, customers are finding that they can still enter the promotion code.
I have now deleted the code from the system hopefully to prevent further use but I would like to know how an expired code is still being allowed and, what I should do about it.

I just noticed that there is an updated release to promotions :(.
I guess I missed the notification and the plug-in shows no flag.

Hi Omar,
The beta version needs to be removed from your site. The beta versions are only intended to be used for early testing and review. Also please note that beta versions do not automatically update to the official version. So that’s why the plugin needs to be removed and replaced with the production version.
After you remove the beta, you go to your account page and download the official version:
Promotions and Discount Codes v1.0.14.p
Then you go to your site’s WordPress > Plugins page, click add new, and follow the prompts to install & activate the current version of the Promotions plugin.

Thanks Josh. I could have been more thorough. What I meant was that I realise that I never switched from the beta version. I was guessing that I didn’t receive or read the email that promotions was out of beta and that I should uninstall the beta and install the public release.
Of course, I am making an assumption. Do you notify beta users when the product is out of beta?

Hi Omar,
You would have gotten an email about the official release of the promotions add-on around August 2015. In any case, you need to remove the beta version from your site. We advise that beta software only be installed on testing sites for review and testing.

Thanks. I removed it and installed the production version.
2015 is about the last time I used promotions.
In the last few years, I used a million different prices that were hidden until active rather than use promotions.
